By using our website, requesting a quotation, confirming a tour, or making a payment, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.

The Travels Lanka (Pvt) Ltd is a Sri Lanka-based travel company providing personalized travel planning and tourism services in Sri Lanka.

2. Website Use

You may use this website for lawful purposes and for obtaining information about our travel services.

3. Travel Enquiries and Quotations

Submitting an enquiry through our website does not constitute a confirmed booking.

After receiving your travel requirements, our travel consultants may prepare a customized itinerary and quotation based on the information provided.

A quotation may include accommodation, transportation, activities, excursions, meals, entrance fees, guides, or other services depending on the agreed itinerary.

Prices and availability are subject to change until the booking has been confirmed and the required payment has been received.

4. Booking Confirmation

A booking becomes confirmed only after:

The traveler accepts the proposed itinerary and quotation; and
The required deposit or payment has been received; and
The Travels Lanka has confirmed the booking in writing.

Availability of hotels, vehicles, activities, and other services is not guaranteed until confirmation has been provided.

5. Payments

Payment terms will be communicated to the traveler before confirmation of the booking.

Depending on the package and services involved, a deposit or full payment may be required.

Any bank charges, payment processing fees, currency conversion charges, or other third-party transaction fees may be the responsibility of the traveler unless otherwise agreed in writing.

6. Prices and Changes

We make reasonable efforts to ensure that quotations are accurate at the time they are issued.

However, prices may change before confirmation due to changes in hotel rates, transportation costs, entrance fees, taxes, government charges, exchange rates, supplier pricing, or availability.

Once a booking has been confirmed, any requested changes to the itinerary may result in additional charges.

7. Hotels and Accommodation

Accommodation is arranged according to the hotel category and preferences agreed upon with the traveler.

Specific hotels may be subject to availability. Where necessary, The Travels Lanka may offer an alternative hotel of a similar standard.

Hotel facilities, services, check-in and check-out times, room configurations, and other policies are determined by the individual hotel.

8. Transportation

Transportation may be provided through vehicles and professional drivers arranged by The Travels Lanka or its service partners.

Vehicle type may depend on the number of travelers, luggage, itinerary, road conditions, and availability.

Travelers are expected to follow reasonable safety instructions provided by drivers, guides, hotels, and activity providers.

9. Activities and Excursions

Some activities included in an itinerary may be operated by independent third-party suppliers.

Participation in activities may be subject to the supplier’s own terms, safety requirements, age restrictions, weather conditions, availability, and operational policies.

Where an activity cannot operate due to circumstances outside our reasonable control, we may offer an alternative where reasonably possible.

10. Traveler Responsibilities

Travelers are responsible for:

Providing accurate personal and travel information.
Ensuring that their passport and travel documents are valid.
Obtaining the required visa, entry permits, vaccinations, insurance, or other travel documentation.
Informing us of relevant dietary requirements, mobility requirements, or other special arrangements before travel.
Following the laws and regulations of Sri Lanka.
Following reasonable instructions from service providers and travel personnel.
Taking reasonable care of personal belongings.

The traveler is responsible for ensuring that the information provided to us is complete and accurate.

11. Passports, Visas and Entry Requirements

Travelers are responsible for checking and obtaining all documents required for entry into Sri Lanka and for their onward or return journey.

The Travels Lanka may provide general assistance or information regarding travel requirements but does not guarantee visa approval, immigration clearance, or entry into Sri Lanka.

Travelers should obtain current requirements from the relevant government authorities before traveling.

12. Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend that all travelers obtain suitable travel insurance before their trip.

Travel insurance should, where appropriate, cover medical expenses, emergency assistance, trip cancellation, interruption, baggage loss or delay, and other risks associated with international travel.

Unless specifically agreed in writing, The Travels Lanka does not provide travel insurance and is not responsible for costs that would ordinarily be covered by a travel insurance policy.

13. Itinerary Changes

Travel plans may occasionally need to be changed because of weather, road conditions, government restrictions, supplier availability, safety considerations, or other circumstances.

We will make reasonable efforts to maintain the agreed itinerary. Where a change is necessary, we will seek to provide a suitable alternative where reasonably possible.

14. Delays and Events Outside Our Control

The Travels Lanka shall not be responsible for delays, cancellations, losses, or additional costs caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Such circumstances may include natural disasters, severe weather, floods, strikes, civil disturbances, government restrictions, road closures, airline disruptions, epidemics or pandemics, changes in laws or regulations, supplier failures, or other unforeseen events.

Where such circumstances occur, we will make reasonable efforts to assist travelers and adjust arrangements where possible.

15. Third-Party Service Providers

Some services are provided by independent third parties, including hotels, restaurants, activity operators, transport providers, guides, airlines, and other tourism suppliers.

While we take reasonable care when selecting service providers, their services may be subject to their own terms and conditions.

Where appropriate, any complaint concerning a specific third-party service should also be raised with the relevant provider.

16. Personal Belongings

Travelers are responsible for their personal belongings, passports, money, electronic devices, luggage, and valuables during the trip.

The Travels Lanka is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

17. Complaints

We encourage travelers to notify us as soon as reasonably possible if they experience an issue during their trip.

Where possible, we will work with the traveler and relevant service provider to resolve the issue while the traveler is still in Sri Lanka.

18. Website Content

We make reasonable efforts to keep the information on our website accurate and current.

However, photographs, descriptions, prices, availability, itineraries, and other information may change from time to time.

19. Intellectual Property

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by applicable law.

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Sri Lanka.

Any dispute arising in connection with our services shall, where it cannot be resolved amicably, be subject to the applicable courts and legal processes of Sri Lanka.
